Arata in Big Sky

There was no sushi on the menu. Bowls of food were ok. Place was pretty quiet but they were out of many choices. Not much of an experience.

Very good sushi and sashimi. Interesting Hawaiian rolls style. If you travel to Big Sky and you like sushi this is a place you must visit.

This sushi spot is fantastic and I highly recommend! I never had Hawaiian sushi before and dinner was such a delicous surprise. Beware of the portion sizes of the special rolls, they are huge. My fiance and I started off our meal with the warm sake, and the Hawaiian poke with taro chips. Such a great appetizer! Think chips and salsa but with pineapple and ahi tuna. We ordered three of the special rolls and yellowtail hand rolls. The hand rolls were fresh with yellowtail and rice/veggies. I can't remember the names of the special rolls, but I remember we ordered one with hamachi, one with salmon, and the last one was with marlin and walu. All the rolls were great but the walu/marlin roll was my absolute favorite. The touch of sweetness with the bit of pineapple in the roll was such a nice and interesting surprise.

Great sushi in a beautiful place, Big Sky. Also the cook will work with you to make the sushi however you want, he is very accommodating. They have great Hawaiian drinks to. We come up to Big Sky twice a year, and we always come here every visit.

This place is a joke. I have come here 4 different times over the years and never been able to get a table. The owner always claims he is too "busy", even though only 2 out of the 10 tables are being used. Dont waiste your time.

Great, unique specialty rolls. The Lana'i is awesome.

This is, hands down, my favorite sushi restaurant....definitely the best in Montana. And I like it better than any places I've been to in Seattle. I love how many of the rolls have walu....my favorite sushi fish.

So, so, so, so good. I don't even like sushi and I'm a convert. Amazing
